Reger
Reger sits somewhere between an arpeggiator and a sequencer, with a unique approach built around interval cycles. Rather than assigning notes to steps, as you would with a traditional step sequencer, Reger assigns steps to notes.
From there, you can determine how those patterns are navigated, decorated, and articulated, choreographing what might be thought of as sonic mandalas through a wide range of timing, direction, articulation, and transformation controls.
Reger can also manage multiple patterns at once, map them across your MIDI controller, but these patterns are not isolated silos. They can communicate with one another, influence one another, and even play one another.
Reger will continue to grow through periodic updates. In Version 1.0, you will find:
- Patterns containing cycles of up to 32 unique intervals
- Controls for the timing and navigation of interval-generated patterns
- Stacks and ratcheting
- MIDI CC output
- Four Pattern Banks per pattern, allowing for variation and polyphonic pattern behavior
- A per-pattern Mod Matrix for external control
- A Comments tab for each pattern with searchable hashtagging
- A visual display of each pattern's steps
- Savable Presets as well as individually savable Patterns
- MIDI key mapping with up to four patterns assigned to a single MIDI note
- Madrigal Groups: four independent pattern quartets outside the primary mapping zones
- A Global Mod Matrix
- MIDI Pools
- Internal MIDI routing between patterns, including Pattern-to-Pattern routing
